FL RHD door panel on LHD -- anyone done it?

Just thinking -- what about using a RHD passenger door for a left hand drive?

You wouldn't have the passenger window control, BUT -- you would have the grab bar handle.

I haven't been able to find a replacement map pocket and got to thinking about options.

Any issues with the idea?

Thanks for any experiences.

Then you'll have two door handles to buy when they break. Or you can spend $380 a piece for the SBG units. My opinion, this sounds like a terrible idea.

Just glue the lid shut, and get it padded and covered in leather. No more having to find a good usable map pocket and paying a premium for it, plus you get a nice arm rest out of it.

that would not work. The panel will not line up with the dash.

That seems a dumb path, besides losing the pass. window control, you also loss mirror control and that extra breakable handle will be used at least 10 times more often than the pass side one so must stock up on JDM handles by the dozen and I think it does not fit to dash and handle would infringe on hand to wheel space.

As everyone said.

Dash doesn´t match, same for door cups and interior handle mechanism.

Just re-do your existing panel.
