RHD 180km/h power loss

I was just wondering if their was an easy way (or any way at all) to cut the governor that restricts my rhd fd from going faster than 180.

thanks.

You have to cut 1 or 2 wires. If you search, you can find pictures and everything. I don't know off the top of my head.

HKS markets a fuel cut defencer that is a piggy back unit. I havn't ran it so i can't sware to its effectivness. Apexi Power FC will allow you to change that and a few hundred other things but its $$$$ and you will probably want to tune it rather then run the out of the box setup

You find a lot of japanese ecu that have been remapped to overcome this.
Knighsport, re-amemyia, etc...
or go with the PFC

Mine are cut and i have no problems hauling *** and smoking mustangs on the autobahns here in germany. The only issue that my car has with the cut wires is the rapid consumption of my hard earned dollars that are dumped into the liquid food that the bitch guzzles down at 1.85 euro/liter for 100 octane. DAMN IT IS EXPENSIVE OVER HERE!! But she runs so smooth on that stuff.

I dont think its the same fuel cut attributed to boost pressure. mine cuts out at ~200km/h and it certainly isnt fuel cut, although it sure feels like it.

HKS does make a "speed limit defender"

Basically this...

The fuel cut/top speed limiter is designed for 2 things. Limit topspeed and prevent over boosting. I over boosted (Boost creep) and I had one installed and I blew my motor. It's a great mod if you have ported wastegate other wise no...

It's a plug an play, all you need to do is snip/pull some pins out.

Is your RHD a JDM spec or is it from the UK?

If it is a JDM spec, you should just have to plug and go through the initialize settings without having to remove any pins. My PFC came from Japan and had all Japanese instructions. When a friend translated them, it was almost identical to the English instructions, aside from grammatical differences and terms.

Plug and go. I would recommend taking it to a tuner as well just to be sure that it is set up properly, even though it is supposed to go through a "self learning" check. My friend here in Germany installed one on his JDM and it only needed some very minor tweaks with the timing and AF mixture. Just my $0.02
