Revlimiter on stock ECU?
What's the type of revlimiter built into a stock ECU? Does the engine retard or does it use fuel-cut? Also, can you get an aftermarket revlimiter that will work with the stock ECU? (Just curious)...

Ok, so how come you couldn't use an aftermarket fuel cut device as a revlimiter? I would think the ECU might not be tuned properly ABOVE the stock revlimit but what about if you lowered it? A product that I've seen and sounds interesting is the OMEX clubman revlimiter and launch control:

So would that product work with the FD? And if not, how come? (yeah a lot of questions, and it's not that I doubt your answer...I'm just curious as to what makes the rotary engine/ECU in the FD different.) Thanks a lot, -Joe

That would be a nice gadget for when we leave our cars at the body shop/tire place/valet park so the idiots won't hotrod in our FD's.
That would be classic to see their face when they hop in and it won't rev past 2k.
*edit* I guess if you have a PFC, you already have one.
