Air pump removal, now runnig LEAN

Just installed an Efini Y-pipe and removed the air pump. I also plugged the two 3/4" lines between the UIM and the secondary turbo intake pipe. Now after clearing my computer's memory it is runnig lean at the initial start-up. My PMC read 1-3, then 13-19. After letting it warm up and going on light boost (6-8 lbs) a few times it was reading Rich. My ? is was this just the computer learning and having to adjust to there not being an air pump and the lines being plugged?
I had to shut the car down, b/c my supply line to the intercooler popped off and the pully ate through it, so now I cannot tell how it will run intil I fix that. Thanks.

How do you know it was running lean?

If your reading 13 or anything like that in idle its ok. Hell Ive heard of 13+ in Vacuum for cruising just to get insane gas mileage. Its all about under boost where the problems come in , which you say your running rich so its a ok.

B/C of my PMC's keypad.

I also forgot that a car reads lean until it warms up anyway. My bad. BUT, does anyone think that maybe a few small holes should be punched into the upper line that is capped off that originally came from the air pump? Maybe that would help smooth out the idle?

Nope, that would give you a nice boost leak. Remember the pump would actually PUMP air into the manifold not just draw it in by vacuum. I suggest just raise your idle ( I did) and its perfectly fine.

it will not be a boost leak the acv controlls flow. if you disconnect the air pump you will need to adjust the minimum air at idle

Any suggestion on adjusting mimium air? I did have a lumpy idle, but apparently that's a common side effect. Idle varied from 900-1100 rpm's. After a short hard run the idle lowered to 500.
