Rev to over 1500, guages go dead?

I just finished rebuild my FD and I am having some issues. I searched and found nothing.
The first is well very very weird....
You start the car, it idles at 1k pefectly and all the guages light up, tach works. You rev the motor above 1500rpm and they all go dead and wont turn back on until after you restart the car.
The second problem is my oil pressure guage just shoots to 120+ and stays there?? It needs more oil, only had 4 quarts around the shop, and some distilled water. But how would I fix these weird guage problem?

I need to install my boost guage and do a few other things, but I cant wait to drive it.

I took it for a spin anways, when I turn the wheel a certain way the guages work. Its like they arent getting power. My buddy thinks its a broken wire in the steering colume on the ignition cyl. Possible? Its only the guages that loose power, the back light still works.

Search a bit more. For some reason I recall a fairly old thread about someone doing an engine install, and that one portion of the wiring loom can easily get wound up on the steering column and wear through the insulation, resulting in electrical problems.

But right now I am more worried about a new problem... I was running the car, trying to bleed the coolant system and I hear a hissing sound, hot engine oil started spraying out the drives front, and the add oil light came on, and when I checked the guage, it read 0 pressure. CRAP. Oil cooler line blew off. No idea how, its worked fine for the past day, guess I need to double check the clips.

It probably wasn't so much the clips as the rubber o-ring that seals the lines when they clip in. I had one go bad on me suddenly, and it did a nice job of completely lubing up the underside of my car near the driver's side front wheel, the wheel itself, and brake caliper. You need to check those carefully if you're doing any reinstallation.

the line had completly poped off, I fixed it, I can see where the clip dint sit. The orings are less then 200 miles old and in good shape.
