Resurrecting an old and apparently rare MS part

After looking and watching for months for one FS I gave up and asked if ANYONE had one available FS. Only ONE surfaced. (THANKS BRIAN!)

....but it needed some serious TLC.

I've only noticed them for sale often on yahoo japan auctions. Nice rare piece over here for sure.

A couple pics of it installed. Also a comparison of the size difference between the MS cap and the "Rotary13b"rotor shaped oil cap (now FS BTW). The MS cap is actually quite small and in part while I like it. The "Rotary13b" cap is nice but it is BIG and quite heavy!

As for how I cleaned it up....if it's aluminum, anything is possible. I am after all the "polishing fiend."
