Hey guys, the car was picked up yesterday afternoon and should be on its way down here. The driver expects to arrive at my house either tomorrow or Friday. I can't wait! I'll snap a few pictures once I have it in my hands.

Alright so the car got here Friday morning, and I spent the afternoon getting it all cleaned up and tried to get it running. I pulled the primary injectors to ensure they were getting fuel, and they were, so I pulled the spark plugs and they were wet with fuel. I threw in a new set of plugs I had and it finally came to life with a nice puff of smoke.

Now I have to mess with the Microtech maps and figure out why it's idling at like 2000-2500rpm, but it's running! I ran over to the nearby Wawa and put air in the tires, filled the tank, washed it, waxed it, and drove it last night to a local cruise-in car show nearby. On the way there, the clutch switch plastic plug disintegrated, but I jumped the connector with a piece of wire and got it going again. Anyone know what could cause the high idle? It also stumbles badly when cruising if you give it gas too quickly. I just ordered a Wix fuel filter on Amazon and will be replacing that soon.

The hesitation when first giving it gas could be a bad ground connection.

The high idle is usually an intake leak.

I don't get what you mean by somewhat of a blown motor? How do you know this? Have you done a compression test? What is wrong with the motor from the results of this test?

I drove on a chipped apex seal and also drove on a totally blown seal, about 400 miles to get a pettit motor installed. The chipped seal was fine but the blown was not very drivable.
You may not have damaged your turbos yet but you will when you blow the motor for good. Really need more info on what you think your engine problem is.
