Resonating??? noise

Hey guys,

I just finished installing my new DP. I removed the intake box hoses and other stuff so I could access/install the DP from above. I'm reasonalby sure I have everything reinstalled correctly as I labled everything. I took it for a test drive, and everything appears to run fine, except when I leave off the gas I get this resonating sound. I tracked it down and I think it is coming from the hose beside (driver side) the top turbo inlet hose coming from the stock airbox. It connects to a metal tube on the other end. Is this sound natural with a DP or do I have something else wrong? What is this hose for? I tried to find a hose diagram using search, but that just got me about a million vacuum hose diagrams.

Thanks,
Jeff

the only difference in sound i noticed when i installed my downpipe was the turbos spooling up. and a very slightly throatier exhaust tone from outside the car.

When you take off your air box (all that plastic ****) you get what they call "The MOO" do a search on it. I asked the same thing about 3 months ago and someones posted a link telling how to fix it with a end cap from a chair. or remove the air pump....

On the passenger side of the BOTTOM half of the box there should be three small hoops for tabs that are on the top half of the box. These are generally broken off with underhood heat and time. If one or more (generally more) of those hoops are gone, the box may not be sealed tight and your hearing noises when off-throttle.
