Repost i know! What do i need to be track ready? (not in archives)
I know, i know, this is a massive repost...
Truth is, theres nothing in the archives about it and the search doesn't pick it up.
I Just got a 93 PEP and its all stock with some exceptions...
ACT street strip clutch w/ prolite flywheel
Midpipe
Tenabe exhaust
Greddy turbo timer
Now, i was wondering, whats a good list of mods that would prepare me (or someone stock) for a long competitive day at the track?
Again, i apologize for the repost (i remember this comming up before) but i cant find it in the archives!

A lot! Start with cooling- Upgraded SMIC, no FMIC's for the track. Koyo/Fluidyne radiator, and dual oil coolers depending on how much $ you have. Suspension is very important, but that's not my area of expertise.
But again, you have a long way to go...

well, c, the dude i got the car from had a weird set up. I have the stock pre-cat, but a mid pipe and sport exhaust... I've got money for mods and just wanna know what are the basic mods to atleast do some conservative driving on a day at the track.
Nope, those dont help...i've read those. They just end up arguing about some technicality. See thats why there should be a thread in the archives about this.
Simple list of base mods for being able to have a day at the track is all i want.

You need no mods to do a track day, if the car is in good shape.
- Bleed brakes completely, ideally using a high temp DOT3/4 fluid like Motul or ATE Superblue
- Use a high performance pad if you expect high temps or long (20"+) sessions. If you're using a race tire, it's more important.
- Proper ducting of intercooler, radiator, and oil cooler(s).
- Water temp and oil temp gauge are very helpful. Dual oil coolers is a big help too.
You will not be competitive. Forget that. I guarantee there will be faster and slower cars, unless you are the only one out there. The point of the first couple track events is to learn the track, improve your driving, and learn what if anything on the car should be adjusted or improved. I see very little information that's missing in those linked threads.
Besides, if you were competing, you would enough to tell us what class you'd be racing in.
