Replacing Vacuum hoses--please help!
I'm about to do the vacuum hose job. What parts of the engine need to come off other than the manifold? Rob Robinette's site says Solenoid Rack and Ignition Coils along with manifold and throttle body? Anything else? Do I have to meddle with the turbocharger assembly or can I replace the hoses with the turbos in?
I've only seen a few pictures so I might just be missing the obvious. Still, if someone could post a list of parts that must be removed that would help.
Thanks,
Clint Fralick

This site will have everything you need to help with the job:

Under How To you'll find the info. The turbo's don't need to come off. Just intake, air pump, alternator, IC piping, elbow, throttle body, upper intake manifold, ignition coils, and air control valve. It's a tough job, but you'll learn a lot, save about $250 doing it yourself, and feel like the king of the world when your done. Good luck.

Is a really great site for the work like Jr said.
You probably wont need all the hose he listed. I got away with 35' 4mm and 10' 6mm (still had extra). The two parts I kinda struggled on were the hoses off the TCA and the hoses around the secondary turbo. Everything is cramped up and its hard to fit tools in there. Some of the hoses are hard to fit on.... if you need.. dip your finger in oil and get some on the nipple. That helped me out a few times down by the TCA.
I just got mine finished... if you get stuck feel free to PM me. I might be able to help.
