Bought an FC fan switch, PN41-18-840. What is the minimum amount of disassembly I have to do to R&R the fan switch? Just the intercooler upper input/output tubes and alternator? or more? Thanks!

 

Yep, that should do it. I think I did mine just by removing the alternator. You don't really have to drain the coolant, some will come out but not much.

That is the version that has the same plug as the FD, correct? I never replaced mine because I thought there would be too much coolant spilling out. I do have a PFC but I think it's worth the small price to add a measure of fail safe, so to speak.
