Replacin overflow coolant tank?

My 93 rex have been havin this problem. Everytime I take it out for a ride just about 15 minutes or so, then park the car the overflow coolant on the front passager side would spill out coolant. I was wonderin if this have ever happen to anybody here? If so how do u fix it? Or should I just replace it wit one of the aftermarket one. I was lookin at this one that was at Summit but I dont know if u could replace it and wont have any problem. Please help if u could cause everytime i drive it i have to add more coolant cause of the problem. thanks alot

your not overheating?? I don't think the overflow tank is your problem though....can't really tell you though without other info.

As far as I know it won't hurt to change out the overflow tank. I replaced mine with the Greddy overflow tank....it looks nice and it's not too expensive.

i think you overfilled the overflow tank man and you keep adding to it after it spills out, so it keeps spilling out...

check the stick

Suck coolant from overflow tank til it reaches in between F and L. Then check your AST..fill it up..close it then top off the Rad. filler neck. Run the car and you should be fine. If problem still persists....could be anything from a leak in one of your cooant lines to needing a new engine. Welcome to the Wonderful world of the 3rd Gen Rx-7

everytime when the coolant is coming out i just add more to it cause when ever i dont the coolant light would go on for about a minute or so and then it would shout off. I dont know wat up wit this everything was find before but all of a sudden this happen damn. Hopefully like u guys say its just that im added to much coolant to the overflow tank. But is it normal when the car stop running the coolant spill over to the coolant tank causing the coolant to spill out of the small hole . I can hear it too. Is it safe to replace it with one of the aftermarket on. I saw one on Summit but it only would catch the overflow . If anyone have done this please help and the car is not overheatin the gauge is in the middle.

Just do away with the problematic little bastard. It'll only lead to trouble, plus it'll free up a little room. I put a new neck on and ran an overflow hose from it down to the bottom of the car.
