replacement rad hoses for greddy FMIC rad mounting position

I'm sick of looking at the greddy "water pipe" with what's left of my butchered radiator hose on either end of it. Does anybody know of a source that sells pre-formed hoses that will work with a radiator mounted upright in the FD?

This seems like good group buy material......

Thanks,

Chris C.

I think you can get this thing called CoolFlex. it's a radiator piping made from metal and rubber. Outerlayer is metal flexable thing and interlayer has a rubber hose for the user to shape.

Thanks for the reply.

It looks interested, but very complicated. Lots of couplers ect. For one 24in hose with 2 ends, glue ect it's $72. For anybody else that is intereted here is the link to the CoolFlex website:
http://www.coolflex.com/cfm/store.cf...de=kits&type=1

I have another week before I have to order anything so I'm going to keep exploring my options.

For radiators that are mounted in the stock location, but mine is upright because I have a FMIC. I believe SleeperR1 was part of the thermoflex group buy. I sent him an email to see if he got a special hose or just cut the thermoflex pre form for the stock mount to work with the greddy waterpipe.

So new radiator hoses are needed if going with the greddy 2 row FMIC? Anything else?

thanks!

I think.
They make a yellow upper and lower hose and a blue.
$160
Samco sells the blue for $250

yes and no. The stock hoses will not work without modification. You have to cut one of the stock hoses and insert a metal tube in between the two ends.
The three pieces are held together with band clamps. The FMIC kit comes with the metal tube and instructions.

This seems like a less than ideal solution. It adds two more spots for water to leak from and looks "ghetto."
