replaced o2 sensor... still have problems!!

Hello, I was getting the dreaded code 17 code. My car was bucking and surging under light throttle. I replaced the o2 sensor and all was well for a week. All of the sudden on my way home from work, it started doing it again!!!! What could this be? A defective o2 sensor? A bad ground somewhere? I replaced it with a single wire sensor that I had shipped to me from "oxygensensors.com" I did some searches and it seems that a lot of people had bought them with success. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP. This is driving me nuts!! thanks, mike

oh oh, Unless you got a monster port, you might need a rebuild soon. How is your car running? auto or manual?

The car runs like a champ. It doesnt blow smoke in the morning, runs 12-8-10 boost pattern, and its an auto. IT has 69k on it and the motor was replace about 15k ago.

12hg at idle is REALLY crappy... you should be pulling 20-16hg .. i have a monster port job on mine and i can pull 18-16hg..

i'd check for some vacuum leaks, they could be a culprit... do you have a lumpy idle?
