Replace Stock gauges with Aftermarket

I want to replace the stock oil pressure and water temp gauges with aftermarket gauges. I have not seen the clusters or even know if it is possible. I know I can buy gauge pods, etc. but there is no point in me having a 2 of the same gauges. Has anyone tried it? Give me any insight? Is this plain stupid? Let me know. Thanks guys.

I think you better stick with what you have. If you put let's say, autometer gauges there, I think it would look stupid. Check this out. Besides changing the faces, leave the stock cluster alone!

Yes....it has been done. People on here have replaced their stock gauges with SPA gauges. Search and you'll come accross it.

The person who did the first install, with SPA gauges, goes by maxcooper on these forums. Here's his site:

There's another guy , maxpesce , who installed Autometer gauges using this same technique:

Gordons old setup

I plan on doing the same with all Autometer Nexus gauges if they ever release a proper tach and speedo. If not, my hope is Defi will release the Supersports Cluster over here in Imperial units.

That sure is some trick set of gauges there.

And I thought installing a 99-model boost gauge into a 92-model oil pressure gauge position was being trendy.....

Keep up the good work...
