Replace MOP with one from Series 4

I was wondering if anyone knows if the MOP can be replaced with the mechanical MOP from a series 4 motor. I'm running a haltech and I can't control the MOP so I thought instead of adding extra premix why not go mechanical.

If anyone has done this can they post what problems might arise.

Thanks

Raven
