removing the plate from a 99 front end

Has anyone done this? I have a 99 frontend. I hate the plate. It's time to remove it. Does anyone know how to go about this? what does it cost? How well does it work? Most of the people I talked to don't work with urethane. They just replace it.
If you have had your urethane modified. what did it cost how did they go about it how well did it turn out?

Don't suggest going fiberglass. I don't see that as an option. Fiberglass has it's own set of problems.

I agree with you on the "shoe box" plate holder. Just otherwise interupts beautiful body lines. I also would like to do this. Although I can't tell you where to go and how to do it, I'll provide this link of how it was done by a small body shop out west. Good reading and hope it will provide you with some knowledge on what goes into removing the square wart from the nose!!
Later,
Andre

I got my license plate holder removed from my 99 spec. The truth is that I don't know how to do it since this one guy did it for me. He did the whole body work for my car.

just get a new one from www.pettitracing.com Pettit has their own made without the plate holder. And since you'll be looking for a place to unload your current one, you can give it to me
