Removing metal sun roof ?

Removing metal sun roof ?
Anyone can shed some light on how to remove just the top roof portion of the sunroof?
I'm repainting the car and would like to have it repainted without removing the entire mechanism underneath the headliner
Is it just as simple as unbolting the underside roof panel and then unbolt the top metal roof?
Also is swapping glass roof a direct replacement

OK, no judging. But, I wrote this thing that might help: https://www.rx7club.com/interior-ext...emoval-972550/
I don't think the metal/glass sunroof removal is substantially different.

I've seen that write up. thank you so much. I was able to remove a glass roof unharmed
However. In the process of painting the car and like to remove the metal top piece for repaint also have it ready for a glass swap
Are they interchangeable? If so. Unbolting the the metal piece shouldn't be any different
Question is how to take the under panle off

I find google handy for searching the forum with this trick...
google search terms(quotation marks for clarity only): "site:www.rx7club.com remove sunroof"
Found these threads:

Sounds like once you get the trim panel off from underneath, it's the same 4 bolts. I would assume the trim pries downward, held by some clips around the edges. You might be able to get a trim tool or use your hands to discover the mounting clip locations, for best/safest removal.
