Removing Caliper Paint
What can I use to remove high temp caliper paint without damaging any of the components, especially the rubber ones. Or can i give it a light sanding and repaint. Whats the best method to repaint them.

i didnt paint any rubber parts when i painted them. just want to know how i could redo the paint since its fading. That and i think the brake shop sprayed some brake cleaner on them, that cheap cholrinated type.
Also, wont the stripper damage the rubber if it seeps into the paper .

Just spray the calipers down with brake cleaner to remove any grease or oil then tape up what you don't want repainted and repaint. Testors model paint(really) works best and it smooths out when it dries unlike the "caliper" paint at the auto parts store. Or you could take a wire brush attachment to your drill and take the old paint off. Don't really need to unless it is really badly chipped and layered.
