R1 wing looks like crap? ricer cheese?
This thread is a perfect demonstration of the old 'opinions are like ********' adage
To the OP, I really like the color scheme and the flares, nice lookin' FD

Nice car. I'm definitely for NO wing. I bought my car with a park bench on it, and ripped it off as soon as I got home. Love the clean wingless look.

I even convinced my friend to take the OEM wing off his MR2. I'm just partial to the wingless look I guess.
I do like the 99' spec wing though, that'd be the only one I'd put on my car.

Wings cover up the subtle and painstakingly modeled surfaces on the hatch which play into the rear lights in such a beautiful way. When my car got painted the wing came off and holes were welded shut! Wingless 4 Evar!

Depending on what you're doing with the car, some look good with a wing, some look good without. I personally like having a wing. I'm not for that duel tip exaust, looks like crap in the 5th pic.

I'm more of a fan of having a wing, but that R1 wing looked really stupid with the wider rear fenders. So taking it off definitely makes the car look better and much wider. Sick black and gold color scheme on the body/rims/engine bay, absolutely love it!

I saw you had a Kansas plate so I checked the city and to my surprise, you're the other FD owner in Lawrence. You should come out to the spring rotary BBQ if it ends up happening.

u guys forget that that wing serves a purpose other then looks.......it applies downforce to the rear of the car at high speeds aswell as channeling air across the back of the car....i bought my 7 for more then just looks......think about that before u take it off and wanna go do 100mph+

Totally agree here besides the looks i don''t think Mazda put the wing there for nothing. For me the car looks empty without a wing.

Mazda's own aero test data shows that while the R1 lip decreases front lift, the rear wing does nothing at all.
