Removed Air Pump & PFS Intake..Now running bad???
I removed my Air Pump, replaced old belt w/ a 30 inch 4 rib (I have PFS I/C, DP, MP, CB, and PFC). I also took out my PFS Intake box (Curious of the benefit of the box and it took up a lot of space). I am venting the BOV's into the engine bay and Plugged the hose leading to the Air Pump. I put a filter on the Crankcase vent.
Now my car runs like **** up to 4000 rpm even though the boost climbs to 10 psi+, but slower. Not until my rpms reach into the 5k's does the real pull start. Before my "improvements", the car pulled alot harder around 3,000 rpm when the turbos kicked in and the spool generally just happened quicker. Also, now at idle my voltage will go to 12.1 or 12.2 and the car will "hiccup" slightly, but not at any higher rpm (voltage goes to 13.4 and 13.6 with throttle).
A/F gauge is showing rich at WTF. Noticed more smoke that before out the exhaust...seems too rich.
Could the PFS intake give that much better Throttle response? Or did I screw up and not plug a hose?
Anyone?
