Reman engine info

How can I tell when a reman engine was installed in my new car ? It has a stamp with searial number on the front plate near the E-shaft.

Unless the place that installed the motor has records (and you know who installed it), you'll really have no idea. Even if that number on the reman stamp has something to do with a date, it would be a build date, not necessarily an install date.
