Relearning idle?
Relearning idle?
Quick story behind problem:
Battery went bad and was leaking acid all overthe place. I took it out and got a red top battery and put it under the rear strutbar. The battery was disconnected for a 24+ hours. I remember reading somewhere that the ECU needs to do something to relearn the idle or something. I searched but found nothing realy besides a ton of people with bouncy idles.
Any help please?
Thanks,
Ben

Are you referring to the stock ecu? It may do some adjusting but I doubt you will notice it that much. I have had my car down for several days at a time with no battery and I didn't really notice and idle re-learning.
Man, some of you guys are @$@$ paranoid about these cars....
I have daily driven mine for the last 19 months and put 17k miles on her. She's been down a couple of times for a few things but other than that.....(knocks on wood really, really hard)

Yes- its the stock ECU. Im not to worried about it, i just remember reading somewhere on the board (coulda been anywhere, ive spent the last year reading on it) that the ECU does some type of idle relearning or something.
Mine will be my daily driver as soon as i get around to selling the honda.
I was just checkin- sorry to be a pain

- off to remove TB and UIM for polishing.
