Red-Rx7 selling his FD?

Just cruisin around on autotrader and the first ad I see is this!!!

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...ist=964#vdptop

That makes me so sad. It has always been one of my dreams to own a car such as this one. Hope it goes somewhere good...

Whats really sad, is that you can get away with saying this thing produces 1200 hp on race fuel, and someone out there will actually believe it, and buy it.

Yea I believe it. If I remember corrcetly he was having lots of problems when he did that dyno run....But ****, with anything above 600whp in an FD your gonna have waaaaaaaaay too much power to know what to do with anyways..hah

1200hp to the flywheel is believable. I've seen people throw down 650hp on a 2 rotor... so doubling that on a 3 rotor is possible.... just give it a DR88mm and 40psi =)

no freakin way this thing puts out 1200hp, and what would you do with it in a 2700lb car anyway? Jimlab, where the heck are you when I need you?

Oh I see. I didnt know he sold it already. That sucks. His car was amazing. At least the guy who bought it from him didnt wreck it.

Why did he sell it? Do you know?

A 16 y/o kid's Dad in CA bought it for him. The kid got tired of his toy and Dad bought him an M3. I understand that even big money offers couldn't get the car smogged.

Dad even flew in the builder from NJ to tune the car.

Price paisd 6 months ago was $35K. They don't understand that "depreciate" means "lose value" I guess!

You've obviously missed the age-old argument between Stephen (SPOautos) and Jim(lab) over why a 3-rotor may have an extra rotor, but won't produce 50% more power In short, nothing is 100% efficient. 650hp on a 2 rotor is running crazy boost on race gas for short runs. Those cars aren't exactly reliable.

Yep. He had it listed in the 3rd Gen For Sale section not too long ago, talking about how the car had a bunch of things that needed a great deal of attention, and he had to fly back and forth between Cali and Acosta to iron out the problems...

Don't hate! The engine can make that power, just not with the current turbo installed.

Not to claim I'm a expert about anything, but the 3 rotors that Cam Worth LIKES to put out dyno at about 350-375 RWHP. I think "likes to" means a motor that will last and last which is what most folks are looking for when they drop 30K or more on a transplant?

Do you want a cool driver or a dyno queen?

I have no doubt that a 3 rotor will dyno at 750+ RWHP, once....

I've seen the 3 rotor push out 1100hp, but it was in an RX8, and it had 3 turbos =)

Like someone previously stated, I do not think they are aware that "Depreciate" means "To lesson the price or value"

They confused it with retained value =P
