Recommended brake pads and tires for track event??

i'm going to MADS (www.mscw.com) in march just wondering what everyone recommends for track tires and brake pads. this will be my first track event..

Are you taking the FD or the GTU?

for the FD EBC green will do for your first event or two, Then for later events you will want a dedicated race pad (EBC Yellow, Hawk blue, black, or Porterfield etc)
For Tires it depends on how much you want to $pend - but slicks would be a waste for the first couple events (esp if you don't have spring/shock upgrades) - a good street tire like BFG G-Force KD or Yoko AVS Intermediate will do just fine.

well this forum gets more views than running gear. i will probably get the a032rs and hawks i found them for like $60 front and $60 rear a set.
