I really like the seibon. It is crazy how hot these things get. I was running for 20 min today no more than 6.5psi on the boost (twins). Just making sure my map sensor is ok.... still just incredibly hot when I pulled into driveway. That's with 190 oil temp and 86°c water temp..... A vented hood is definitely in my future.

 

That's pretty normal. Only so much you can do to fight it. Some modern cars, like Bimmers, run even hotter from the factory.

It's actually astonishing how bad most aftermarket RX7 hoods fit. I was sitting in a parking lot yesterday, looking at some random Infiniti sedan that I noticed had a vented raw CF hood, and it was literally factory fitment level on a much more complex shape. how come we can't get that?
