Question Recommendation - Where to buy the RE-A AD9 hood?

Thinking of getting an RE-A... AD9 (AD-9?) hood. Anyone have any recommendations on where to get one? Is there a local US dealer / distributor?
Input welcome.
Hoping fitment doesn't suck too bad...
Thanks.

Fitment is not the greatest if you are not using the re amemiya bumper...

Will be using stock bumper.
Can fitment be improved by adding fiberglass and such?

I remember seeing Gene's car in San Diego with the AD9 hood but I don't remember his user name on the forum to get pics and info about any adjustments he might have made.

Rx7 rage?
Yes if you fill the gap it will be a better fit.

Looks pretty good here:

I would order from RHD Japan or Nengun, depending on who has the better deal.

Group A makes a pretty nice rep. I’m in the Bay Area if you ever want to check out one in person.

Was searching old forum threads about this hood and stumbled on a thread where the Seibon TS Style hood is similar / same as the AD9...
Is that true?
How does it differ?
Any preference between the two?
Thanks

The shape of the vents is squared and sharper. Similar to my Seibon knight sports style, it's not an exact replica.

I've had both aftermarket and OE direct from Amemiya. The Amemiya hood has much better fitment, and is more rigid, hence less flexing at higher speeds. Just my .02!

if you see it closely, where the bumper fits on the hood theres a gap. larger than the oem gap. you can even see the bumper bracket..
this is a known issue with the re-amemiya hood. the contrast might of montego blue and carbon makes this a little less visible.

Narfle, if this is your want i m curious to see why you went with the hood pins at that location.. is it because the hood doesnt fit well there ? i had some minor fitment issues there but i assumed its because my fenders are actually fiberglass

i have only had the original re-amemiya but i had other hoods that were good replicas.

the Amemiya is very rigid indeed, the latch is very strong. no moving at high speeds whereas others were nowhere near as strong

That fitment issue seems like splitting hairs compared to the fitment of the replicas.

It's not my ride. I just know who's it is and that it's an authentic RE hood. Not sure why they put the pins behind the lights, but lots of people do. Others put the pins at the front.

I believe the price on RHDJapan is the cheapest and on the shipping as well.

^oooo sexy

I bought one while at Seven Stock. It fits very nicely. Now I need to get a stock hood prop rod since I had switched to Rotary Extreme hood dampers and they are too much for the carbon hood.

Get the original RE Amemiya hood, as it fits better than replica, and the latch is very strong.

From what I've heard about Final Form, I'd stay away from ordering there. They guy that started FF, previously of Mayday, perpetrated some stuff that sounds too outlandish to even be true. It's all well-documented online if you care to investigate.
I am looking for one of these hoods also, and I might consider either Negun or RHDjapan.

Maybe its just a picture thing, but it looks like there is a misfit around the front driver headlight, bumper and fender? Just curious as I've heard many mixed reviews about the fit on the Group A products.

Jesse from Shinku Classics. I was going to recommend them as I was reading through the thread, but guess that's not necessary lol
