Recaro SR3 Confetti newbie install

Hey all, as the title states, im a newbie when it comes to determining what parts to get and from where, and which are compatible.
I've been scouring the internet now for a month when im free from work and am getting stuck on the following questions:
- What is the difference between a Seat Rail and a Seat Bracket?
- What is compatible with my Recaro SR3 Bottom Mount seats with the FD
- What is the lowest sitting Rail/Bracket I can install for it?

I would like to keep the sliding feature intact to get in and out of the car easier as well.
Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you so much for the help!

@tbkonwso

I ultimately went with some BRIDE type RO's.
Funny enough - I saw some Recaro rails on ebay right after i buy it... smh.
Just gotta wait for the 8-10week delivery.

@danny_muscles

Does anyone know the name of the Recaros that look very similar to the Spirit R red or black seats? Wouldn't mind an OEM+ look, but may just end up reupholstering my current tans with some black leather if I can't find some good bucket seats I like

I think you're looking for the Recaro Pole Positions. The Pole Positions also come in that ABE size (bigger waist)
There's a couple Recaro RZ/Spirit R's in the market rn but they're 10k and 12K+ respectively. Im gonna pass as the price is just too ridiculous at that.

Forum members will tell you to search for it - but tbh, that thread is like 60+ threads deep. (Yes ive read all of em ... 3x).
Let me know if that's the one you're looking for.
Ive been looking at Recaro's for a solid 8 months now as well as rails and brackets so would love to learn what you learn as well and vice versa.

Nice... I knew all those late nights binge reading here will pay off lol. I went with the SR3's ultimately cause im going to daily my car as much as possible.
Comfort was needed... otherwise I wouldve gone with the pole positions or the ultra rare RZ. Go on BRIDE to check up on the best available rails/brackets for that seat.
You'll also find some used Garage Star Brackets on CL every now and then.

Good luck! Post some photos when you get it.

Let me say these about that..........

Right side is an SR Sport on a Recaro Rail (that came with the seat) and on a "Planted" base. Needed a little "adjustment" to marry the rail and the base. Left side is an SR Idealsitz, on a Bride combination rail/base. Bride unit fit perfectly on the seat and on the floor.

Seats are very comfortable, can handle up to 40 inch waist and can slide, crank back and tip forward. (to a good extent). Seats bump against he doors in certain positions and you have to give your door a good yank to shut. Some adjustment to plastic covers and outside turn **** for seat adjustment were required.

Bro that's me right now. I work nights so on downtime I'm just reading stuff on the forum, it's pretty fun.

Will actually consider the SR3 if I can find an affordable pair, or look for the pole positions. Comfort is definitely important to me too, but I don't know what my threshold for that is yet as I haven't properly sat in any bucket seats. Only have the stock leather tan seats to go by for now and I love the comfort in them hence why I considered potentially just reupholstering them in black.

Wowwww this looks gorgeous. Thanks for showing us. Im even more excited to get my rails now. The red looks incredible as well. Funny cause I was just looking yesterday at some red SR3 Fabric to swap out my confettis every now and then, and I think you just sold me on em.

Yeah, I bought two and a half yards from a China site for $100 shipped. Seems like the real stuff. I have about seven sets of worn out stock seats.

Might do them up.

The SR Idealsitz was pretty dirty when I got it. Woolite worked wonders on it.

Seems to be that "pineaple" fabric. Very , very tough.

The SR Sport has the fuzzy recaro fabric, a little less durable.

Yup! I feel you so much... Looking, researching and trying to find rails / brackets that work and how they fit in the car has been one of the hardest things ive done lol. The info just isnt centralized enough to really get a quick decision in one sitting.
And if I dont get a good string of consecutive days and nights where im really focused on finding the right seat for me... that whole insatiable want factor changes my mind, and I start over again lol.
Really glad I decided on Recaro's.

Good luck man! Keep up posted here.

Bride (Right), Recaro (left), bolt holes did not line up quite right on the recaro rail I got of ebay.

A little snug.
The Bride Rail (from Invision Automotive, Edmonton).
