Wow what a **** fight
As an actual owner of these seats and an owner of a very rare factory racing special car (1 of 25) I can say this.
These seats are amazing, when people post about them their threads should not be trivialized with rubbish calls like we have seen posted here.... get over it, if your ignorant about them then ask a question in a nice manner and you will get lots of repies from people who know what they are talking about based of first hand experience.
Peace and once again to the thread starter, great seats ! hope you enjoy them as much as I do mine

2) I'm not comfortable parking my FD anywhere out of sight as it is. The Recaros aren't going to change that one bit. It's like going from very paranoid to super paranoid. You still won't let the car out of your sight. Which is why you need to have a daily driver, and be VERY selective on where you take your FD. If you can't guarantee it's safety where you're taking it...then don't take it
EDIT: I also wanted to mention that Fritz, while I see your point, I think your perspective is a bit skewed. Ok, 4k for seats. Yet ppl spend 2 - 3K on wheels ALL day long, well over 3K on bodywork, ditto on sound systems, MUCH more on a rebuild, or single turbo kit, etc etc. The $4K mark isn't by ANY stretch uncomparable to the other common expenditures ppl make when it comes to FD's. It's just that ppl have an easier time belittling seats than say something more prominant, like wheels, which after shipping, mounting, balancing, and the tires + alignment can EASILY land you in the $4k mark, and many times it's just for show

No need to explain at all. I understand perfectly. I spend 10s of thousands of dollars on my cars every year.
I'm just flabbergasted at how folks value these seats but what's even more amazing is the price they put on the JDM BBS wheels. It's all relative but I still find it fascinating and it never ceases to amaze me how much all of us love are FDs.

Oh, please. You're like the old Grouch Marx joke: "Who are you going to believe, me, or your own lying eyes?"
The Recaro logo is clearly visible in the through the windshield shot on page 1 and on this page, as is the Kevlar frame. You guys are just dreaming if you think no one can notice and that thieves don't know a high buck item when they see it.

Doesn't matter. You've got a white logo on a black background for a primo brand that is clearly visible through the windshield of the car. As I say, to think a thief can't perceive a quality item, especially one with a frame made of an exotic material, is hopelessly naive. To a thief, that visible logo screams, "STEAL ME."
I was puzzled at first why someone with 9,000+ posts would be so heavily into denial and get so hot and bothered about what is an obvious perception......but now that I know you have a financial interest at stake, well, that explains it.

So, now you're saying you CAN see it they way your car is set up. LOL!
This is what I mean. You guys are wildly inconsistent (about something that is obvious in a photograph, no less.) Why don't you all get in the same room and try to get your story straight?

Your personal insult aside, let me make it perfectly clear for you. I never attacked your reputation for business honesty. The seats I see here look great. I assume you get for them what the market will bear, which is fair, and I have no reason to believe you do not deliver as promised.
I do however stand by my statement that you are hyper-sensitive to any criticism of these seats no matter how tangential. One poster wrote about what he viewed as the absurdity of putting $4,000 seats in a $15,000 car. I followed with a post saying how I'd be worried about the theft temptation posed by such valuable aftermarket parts. That's when you jumped in and have seem to have gone apeshit. Puzzling to me, at first, but then when I found out you sell these seats it all made sense. And yes, you do get very touchy about these seats as evidenced by the long winded and angry posts you've put in this thread.
Me, I'm just sitting here laughing at your rants and raves.

A little show and tell in case anybody still cares and has lost track.
The question before the house is this: Can you spot the exotic material used on the frame of these seats, and would a thief recognize them as something of high value?
The first part is the easiest. Look at the through the windshield shot and notice the light colored areas on the seats down by the center console. The second side shot gives you another view of the seat frame.
FDNewbie apparently believes all this is invisibile to potential thieves (even though you can see it in these photographs.) I say any scumbag peering into this car is going to see dollar $ign$.

Damn, those seats look nice as hell
Edit:
On a serious note, I don't think the seats scream 'steal me.' I suppose it all depends on where you live, but I have 3 alarms on my FD (factory, alpine w/int and ext motion sensor and ignition kill) and would not be overly concerned with having some nice seats in my FD. I drive and park my car in fairly nice areas, and never leave it alone for long. Hell, based on some of what I have read here, I should be terrified that my Fikses will get ripped off and my FD will be relegated to jackstands.
I've had people mention to me that perhaps I post too many pics of my mods on this forum. I am aware that Brad Barber had his highly modded FD stolen and stripped by some lowlife in his local rx7club who used info off of the net to help him steal the car.
I store my FD in an undisclosed location with a gentleman who owns many many firearms. I sleep well at night .

^^ exactly, unless you are frequently parking your car in a Wal Mart in New Orleans or south of 8 Mile, getting seats stolen out of the car is the least of your worries
jconn, give it up...your point is lame and you've pushed it way past the point anyone cares to hear

Subsequent to the post quoted above you replied to another one of my posts.
