Rebuild Questions (Done search)

Rebuild experts please.....Blown an apex seal recently on the front rotor on my FD.Housing and rotor need to be replaced. Is it ok to use a rotor from another FD engine.I heard the rotors have different weights identified by letter stamped on them.Has anybody tried to just use any rotors as long as its from an FD(13B-REW) engine?

Yes, the rotors are identified with a letter stamped on them. There are many sources that say only use rotors one letter away, some say 2 letters away are ok. I would try to get one that is the closest or the same.

So, if you have a "B" rotor, trying to find an "A,B, or C" rotor to match it.

thanks very much for the info.I wonder why Mazda never mentioned this bit in the workshop manual.Maybe they thought rotors never get damaged when it breaks a seal???
