Rebuild Break In Procedure

Just had a 13B-REW rebuilt with a mild street port by a local guy, I think I remember him saying something about the first 1000>km I shouldn't go over 4000rpm? It has not been on a dyno yet, I have only drove it home from the shop, it does have that lumpy idle like most ported engines and I love it! How do you guys usually break in your engines?

-stock twins
-street port
-3mm apex seals
-intake
-exhaust
-mid pipe
-greddy fmic
-koyo rad
-10psi

first 500 miles <= 3500 rpms
next 500 miles <= 4000 rpms
next 500 miles <= 5000 rpms
next 500 miles <= 6000 rpms

after 2K miles, give all you got I guess

my engine builder said that boosting isn't really the cause of alarm in a new motor, but the rpms. though I tried to stay under 5 lbs anyway.

So I shouldn't let it rip on the dyno or boost over 10 psi until I'm over 2000 miles.
