Rear Suspension Problem
Rear Suspension Problem
Whenever I drive over a scallop area of road (_^___^___^_^) while making a left hand turn I hear a loud banging coming from the rear passenger side wheel well. Sounds like my tire may be making contact with my wheel well.
I've referenced my service manual in hopes of finding the culprit but need so advice.
What part of the suspension needs to be replaced or tightened.
Is this something I can repair myself or will it require special tools and above average mechanical prowlness?
Thanks

The first thing you should do is jack up the rear, put the car on jackstands, and begin to just move parts of the suspension around with your hand. The passenger rear suspension tended to have its bushings in certain spots go bad first.
The common bushings to go bad where the upper control arm and the toe-link.
