rear speaker grills in tan???
i want to know if they made rear speakergrills in tan. my friend wants to change the pockets in his touring to speakers so he wants them in tan and not black.

The factory speaker grills are easy to paint. Infact I went for the stainless look. All you have to do is pull off the panel like you have to do to replace the speaker anyway. Then remove the grill from the panel. Simply bend the tabs that hold it in place back up to slide it out. Then scuff it up and paint it how ever you like then reinstall in reverse order. I just removed mine and wire wheeled them to remove the black paint (brushed steel look) then clear coated them and reinstalled them. Looks great. I can take and post pics if you like.

hmmm but he would like to get the grills in the oem color to match everything....it seems like alot of work for something that he might be able to buy that came how he wants it from the factory. the touring models w/ bose systems only came with pockets for the rear. anyways thanks for the info...and post those pics!!!

Here are some picks of mine. Sorry that they are not good quality but it is 11 at night and the lighting in my garage is to the front of the car. You get the Idea anyway. IMO I like them much better than stock black. It is also the trend of todays sportscar anyway.
