Rear side housing fix??

Hey guys,

Currently rebuilding my 93 13b-rew motor and all the irons and housings look great except for the rear iron. There is just one spot (lower center) that has a divet. (I can get the measurements if needed). It maybe too deep to lap, took some measurements and its really close to the maximum wear limit. Is there any other way to fix this one problem other than buying a brand new iron?? I'm quite convinced that is what I have to do but would like to hear some feedback maybe things have worked for others. Thanks.

How did it happen?

Used irons are inexpensive enough, if in doubt it's usually a good idea to look for replacement.

Not too sure how it happened. Coolant seals went out and I let it sit for a long time before I got enough guts to take it apart. I don't know if the water corroded some of it or what happened. Do you have any suggestions on where to find used replacements?? I searched in the parts for sale forum and pm'ed a few people but no responses.

Doesn't look like corrosion to me. Lap the iron and go from there.
