rear lower control arm bushings

Hey all,

Need a little help in finding all 3 rear lower control arm bushings for my FD (inner, middle and outer) without breaking the bank too much. http://www.rx7store.net/SuperPro_Pol...%20130adjk.htm has a kit but it dose not have the parts I need...

Thanks
Carl

The inner one you can buy either OEM, or order one from Poweflex. For the powerflex contact "Juan" on here. The other 2 bushings are pillowballs, and need to be ordered from Mazda.

Pillowballs: Order from Atomic Rex in the group buy section. Higher quality (imho) and lower price than OEM.

Couldnt agreed more on this. I purchased the complete kit from Atomic Rex and installed it on my friend's FD. Quality was top notch and price was much less compared to OEM.

Atomixrex units may be good, but I wouldnt go discounting OEM either. Atomicrex ones are new and IMO, untested as to how long they will hold up. Not saying dont buy them, just want to share my opinion.

OEM has been good but to be honest, I am sick of buying the bushings every two years or less. I've been daily driving mine and my friend's FD and so far for over half a year on these new bushings, they work fantastic. Also, these are self-lubricated and if necessary, all you really need to replace is the TWO SPACERS and not the complete bushing itself.

I believe the engineering took into accounting future cost if anything needs to be replace. Which is the spacers itself before the bushings will go bad. (They are like $5 a pop, a complete set of 12 spacers for 6 bushings only cost 60 bucks.)

If you do decide to go OEM Ray Crowe at Malloy Mazda has them for about $60 a piece I think. Japan2LA here on the forum also sells low mileage rear suspension pieces. You could buy a set of LCA from him and the bushings are already in there and in good shape.
