Rear hatch shock/damper/stay - ARGHH

Let's just say that mine doesn't "stay" at all. I have a wing on the rear and the hatch is almost impossible to lift.

I can see a bit of liquid coming out of the shocks and hear a fizzling...ok...I can safely assume that this means that theyare just about done right??

So I did a search and have seen that there "may" have been 2 versions (one for base and one for R1/Touring) AND that while Autozone carries a version that if you get that kind that you can't use the little plastic covers at the bottom.

So...who can confirm or deny this and anyone have any other solutions? Better yet..anyone want to sell me some??

Thanks in advance.

Talking

Hahaha - tell David that until I get my rear down to Tennessee that I need something up here in Canada to hold it up other than my head...or shoulder....or back.

Sigh.

Anyone have any input?

For different tips:http://www.jwwinco.com/products/stan...4.2/index.html

But I personally would just call Malloy Mazda and talk to Ray to save all the running around.......He can send them in a plain box marked as a gift so that you might actually get them in a reasonable amount of time.

SWWWEEEET.

But you are right of course...if you expect me to determine the length, shaft, stroke and connector type needed for my lil hatch then you can wait for that pig to fly.

Looks like Malloy is my best bet.

Oh, incidentally, what's the cost on a replacement set of struts for the rear hatch (from Malloy)? I need some, but haven't made it a priority...price being right may do that

Ah, so by that reasoning, you'll be the one I see with mismatched body color parts, steelie wheels and bubbled purple window tint?

Just givin ya a hard time...I have a obsessive compulsive thing with making sure that certain things work in my cars, so that's why I'll cough up the $150 for the struts.

Get rid of that damn ghetto dowell right now or I will personally come there and beat you with it!

Is nothing sacred?
