Rear hatch cargo cover hook

Hi all, recently picked up a 94 touring and am slowly rebuilding the suspension and a few other bits and bobs. Its a high mileage but decent near stock condition car. My first RX7 since 2000!

One of the pieces I'm looking for is the swivel on the rear strut bar that the cargo cover attaches to. One side is broken. This is the exact thing I need but am not finding it in stock or available online. Rear Cargo Privacy Cover Brackets - Pair ? Bubble Tech - RX-7 Specialty Shop - Automotive Product Development

Any ideas? Anyone have a PN for Mazda (although I doubt they are selling it but just in case).

Not sure if they are available easily from Mazda, but you may just want to find a stock rear strut bar that has them on it. I see the rear strut bars go for sale used for very little, they aren't in demand. That way you will also have the correct screws to attach to your bar.

I searched the parts manual and couldn't even find an illustration showing the rear strut tower bar, much less the hinge brackets, so I can't help with part numbers. Strange.

I agree with Dale -- you can probably find a used bar with brackets at a good price compared to what the new brackets alone would cost, if you could find them.

I did some more checking and found the parts illustration - the 2 brackets (hinges) are part no. FD01-68-305 and apparently are no longer available from Mazda, nor is the strut bar, part no. FD15-56-38Y. Here is an old thread about this topic: https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generati...parts-1019106/

Thanks guys. I have a workshop manual and for the life of me couldn't find a PN for them either. A used one with the plastic bracket intact might be the only way forward. Small thing but it kind of drives me nuts. I wonder if I pull off the intact one and can take it to a 3d printer....

To be honest those parts aren't really in high demand, that's why they aren't readily available. I don't know if it would be worth trying to make a 3d printed version.

Find a used one with screws and be done with it.
