really close call

i just finished installing my SMIC and pettit duct and took her out for a spin... i started to smell antifreeze so i immediatly pulled over... the hose right beneath the rad fill cap going to the AST split and was gushing coolant... it was running fine and luckily i just flushed the coolant system out today so it was full to the brim... im hoping that it was just a close call... the tear in the hose is at the top near the rad cap so as soon as it cooled a little it stopped bubbling out... fortunatly i was right near my parents house so i just pushed it and now its sitting outside cooling down... im about a mile from my mechanic... i wsa thinkin about taping the tear and topping off the coolant and taking it over there to get looked at... should i risk it or just have it towed? dammit i hope shes ok

I'd have it towed, don't worry about taking it to your mechanic, that's an easy hose to replace. Just order a new one from Mazdatrix. While you're at it, replace your other coolant hoses too, it's cheap insurance. I just finished replacing about 4.

Check those turbo lines also That hose by the AST should be an easy fix like Section8 mentioned.

The west coast guys go to Mazdatrix, east coast I recommend Malloy Mazda. Ray should have it all in stock, too.

I would just cut the hose end (past the hole) and re-clamp it, assuming there's enough slack.
