Read the buyers guide but there's 2 different boost patterns

i was reading both the buyers guides version 1 says this

"To check the boost pattern, cruise in 3rd gear at 35. As the road ahead clears, accelerate under wide open throttle. Boost levels should quickly spool to 10 to 12 psi. Just above 4500 rpm, the boost level should drop breifly to approxamitly 8 psi and then slowly build up to 10 psi by redline."

while Version 2 says this

"At or before 3,000 rpm you should see around 10 psi (pounds per square inch, lb/in^2) of boost. At 4500 rpm you should see a quick drop to about 8 psi and an almost instantaneous recovery to 10 psi. It should continue to make 10 psi of boost until close to redline where it may drop a couple of psi. This is what is referred to as a 10-8-10 boost pattern."

So which boost pattern is right?

That's ok depending on the mods of the car (and the complete boost pattern). The 12 PSI may be a spike or it could be where the current owner is running the boost. That's one of those math questions you can't answer as 2 numbers aren't enough to determine a proper boost pattern with the stock sequential turbo system.

Like said, you'll have to test out the car to see what the "real" boost pattern is...
