Ive just purchased an Apexi Power Fc + Commander and it says its for an "FD3S Rx7 13B REW any year". My car is a 93 type R how do I know whether the engine is an RE or REW, sorry for the dumb question just a bit worried that I have wasted alot of money!! Cheers

Yep, you're OK - the REW is the twin turbo version, which all 92+ have.

13B-RE never came in an FD.. so u got nothing to worry about that..

but there are 3 diff generations of FD's which have diff types of ECU's that are not compatible..

original S6 improved S7 and the 16bit ecu on the S8...

 

"W" is for twin turbo....

 

I've never seen that on a pfc box (they've always been version specific) - is it brand new?

 

there's no "any year" PFC, there are 3 different versions

92-95
96-98
99-2002

 

i assume all U.S.-sold fd's fall into the 92-95, right (build date 12/95)? thanks
