RE Amemiya or R-Magic skirts

Ok, I can't decide. I ordered the FEED type II bumper from GB and I need side skirts. I've narrowed it down to the RE Amemiya AD Step D-2, Mazdaspeed Type II, or R-Magic side skirts. I like the RE Amemiya alot but the front bumper I ordered has more sharp angles (not as smooth) than the RE side skirts. The R-Magic and Mazdaspeed are more angular. Would the RE side skirts look ok? I would like to get some opinions before I spend the money than to have a car that looks like crap. Your opinions mean alot.

Bumper I ordered:

RE Amemiya:

RE Amemiya Fender Trim and Rear Side Skirts:

Mazdaspeed type II:

R-Magic:

most definately, go with the RE Amemiyas. ever seen Tony Yeh's car?? hes got the FEED Type II (granted the original, not the knockoff), RE Amemiya side skirts and fender trim. his car is one of the nicest FDs in the world, IMO. ive seen his car in person and it is just beautiful. i honestly spent about 7-8 minutes just staring at his car from different angles and ****. oh, and did i mention that combination kicks ***!

just my .02. ill post some pics of his car in a few minutes.

don't copy tony's car... everyone should do their own thing, heh. someone should try it w/ the r-magic sides. i think it would look pretty good cause the r-magic also have that little slot on the side like the front bumper

So he had the fender trim molded huh? Looks better like that. BTW, anybody know about rolling fenders? Does it make your fenders stick out more or is it internal? With rolled fenders what is the largest tire or rim I could have? 305/35/19's in rear and 265/40/18's in front? What kinda offset?

Personally I think that Tony's car is awesome, but I wouln't get the RE stuff, have an imagination. I often sit and dream up go combinations of colors/body kits that would look good together. Use some side skirts that no ones used with that front before. He has done the RE sides/flares with the FEED front so try something else. The R-Magics would be good. Or there are a ton of others that you could use I am sure. Again I love that car, in fact I have that article from Max Power U.K. hung up in my room, but making your car look anything like Tony's with the molded fender flares/sideskirts and the same front end, even if your car was a different color than his it would be dumb to me. It would make me think "He couldn't think of any other sideskirts to use?" Just my opinion though..

If you want the RE side skirts and fender trim I have a friend who has a set of REAL RE skirts and trim for sale.....they are still in the RE boxes they came with....he decided not to put them on the car for some reason.

Not going to be cheap since it is real but if you were going to order the real stuff you won't have to wait for it now.

I had actually thought of the combination before I saw the car and was hoping there was some pics available to see what it looked like. It's a big world, I doubt I'll ever run into to Tony, it's not like we live in the same town, so I don't think I'm stealing his idea. There are only so many combinations that look good to me and these are the ones I have chosen. Not really fair if somebody chose it first so now that means I can't get them. If somebody shows me a picture of the bumper with the R-magic side skirts then I can't get those either? Now, if I chose the same rims, paint, and spoiler, that would be copying an idea. I still might get the R-magics.

those tires are WAAAY too tall. to even come close to stock tire diameters, you would need 265/35-18s and 305/25-19s. (good luck finding the later. ). also, you will need a widebody kit in the back, along with coilovers to stuff 305s under there. and why 19s in the back?? it will only slow you down.

how about the classic 245/35-18 and 285/30-18 combo??

www.i-m-racing.com has the RE Amemiya versions for pretty cheap, they have them in fiberglass and CF. If you have the money I would think you would want the CF because it's stronger and should hold up a little better should a rock hit it or something. Also www.rxecret7.com has the RE one. The only place I can think of who makes one besides RE would be Mazdaspeed and I think Jason at www.rx7store.net MIGHT be able to get that one for you.
