Re Ad Facer 9 Project Semi Done

Finally put my kit on, still have the fender mirrors to install but here it is for now..I still have to buy new tires for my Enkei RPF1 wheels install my oil coolers and a bunch more parts..

I went with this kit since I dont know anybody in the USA that has and I just wanted to be different from everybody

I know there will be haters and that is fine

Enjoy

Really nice looking car. I really like the front bumper but I'm not too keen of the bolts/rivets w/e those are on the side skirts.

I'm trying to think of what cartoon character the front reminds me of...

I like those skirts, I even think the rivets work. BUT you really need to get a paint match on the new parts...the straight white and pearl white looks a bit funky.

Congrats on new stuff that you like and having something different.

Edit:

Ok, this is one character that it looks like

Not bagging on it, just a funny resemblance.

Your car looks really good. I've seen pictures of it before, but didn't like what you had done. I thought the hood and lights were too much for the stock body, but they flow perfectly now.

I noticed you live in Alaska, so I don't see why you would care sooo much about having a bumper noone else in the states has. Honestly, theres probably less than 10,000 of our cars left and everyone has different tastes and chooses to do exterior modifications differently. What is the chance of you even coming across another FD? I still like the kit and the car, but if that's the only reason you chose it then that's stupid.

^ Well see if that's what he means then it's IMPOSSIBLE to have a part noone else has. Unless of course, he can make his own custom parts. I'm just saying that every part everyone has on their car was made by some manufacturer and the whole point of them making it is to sell it, correct? So it's not realistic to think that your the only one with some sort of part. Of course theirs definitely a gradient of rarity with all parts and I'm sure his kit is high on that scale, but still not a one-off piece.

Kai: I still like it, so don't mistake my comments for hating. I ONLY hate on ugly-**** and your car definitely does NOT fall in to this category.

You said the forum is a community, so I took it to mean everyone owning a 3rd gen, which basically ensures someone else (probably Japan, possibly Australia) has this bumper. I believed Kai when he said he's probably the only one stateside with the front end. I was referring to all FD owners.

Very nice Kai!! I'm glad you chose to do something different than most other guys (99 spec). Damn boooring when everyone has the same looking car. I would definately go with different wheels though. Somethig with a nice size lip....maybe something like this...
