RB DT vs. Apexi N1 Dual

Obviously the N1 would be much louder but does it also less restrictive than RB DT?

If less restrictive that mean car will see more boost 10+ with aftermarket DP and stock cat? no boost controller.

Am I correct on this...

Thanks.

I had a Full Titanium JIC exhaust.. (apexi N1 same thing) yes the N1 is less restrictive, and not necessarily will see more than 10psi.. check my sign for mods all that still pushin 11. no boost controller. and Now i have the RB DT I like the RB cuz it looks stock plus cops wont bother me with that

well as soon as I slap on the RB DT my boost jump to 12 psi from 10 (PFC tuned)...

with that said common sense tell the N1 would add more boost since it is much less restrictive than the RB DT.

The N1 dual has smaller piping compared to the RB dual too.

I do not believe that the dual N1 is significantly less restrictive than the RB....and until someone proves otherwise, I will continue to not believe it.

Once again, I'm with rynberg on this....

The N1 is cute, but I would not expect it to outperform a solid 3" exhaust such as the RB.

so if on a stock FD with just N1 dual catback and dp...there should not be any over boosting issue?

No, you could certainly be boosting over 10 psi, it seems to depend on the individual car. I remember DamonB saying a long time ago that just a dp and cat-back raised his boost to 15 psi spikes! I however had no issues, only hitting 10-10.5 psi with these two mods.

The real issue here is the RB dual tip is a nice, well-made exhaust, and the N1 Dual is a big piece of crap. Lousy fit, obnoxiously loud, and looks plain dumb.

In general, all FD exhausts flow pretty damn well. Performance wise, they'll be very close to each other, most likely within a few horsepower.

All cars seem to react a bit differently to flow mods as far as boost is concerned. But, with a downpipe and catback ONLY and a PowerFC, you should have no trouble keeping boost where it should be. Time to play with the PowerFC's boost control if it's coming up to where you don't want it. I only had trouble with the PowerFC's boost control when I was fully opened up (high flow cat, downpipe/catback, intake) - I had to drill the stock pill out to prevent spiking.

I have the RB and i love it! It's sounds great everybody loves it. I have mangaflow with the midpipe so it doesnt sound like a chainsaw. I never want that im buddy had a straight pipe with a dumped wastegate and it would hurt you ears at WOT with a single running high boost of coarse. But i would go with the RB hands down the best for the money and perfect fit i did it in about 30 mins.
