RB Catback resting against two hook?

Anyone ever have an issue with the RB Dual resting against the rear tow hook? I can apply pressure to push it away, but as soon as I let go, the muffler tip rests right back against the rear tow hook. Just curious as to if I might have aligned it wrong or whatnot. It seems fine otherwise.

I had the same problem. I unbolted the tow hook from the car, put the bolts back in, and carry the hook in the hatch in case it is ever needed.

Mine was also removed. It’s not really a “tow hook” but a “tie-down” for shipping, and maybe useful in some circumstances if you trailer the car. Otherwise, just take it off.
edit: You’re using that rear hanger, right? I’ve seen some guys buy their RB used without it so I thought I’d ask.

The rear hanger that has the two bolts with it? Indeed I am, I suppose I was fortunate that it came with it. I guess I'll remove the tow hook and see how that works.

I think the designed it without the tie down hook in place.

I believe dealers were actually supposed to remove those, it was just for shipping.

I managed to remove the tie down hook. This is yet another time I am thankful my hands are on the lean side, managed to fit my hand and a wrench up in there and get the three bolts loose. The upper one was a bit difficult though, had to use a longer wrench for leverage, but all in all they weren't that difficult to break loose.

Now you have to remove the other tie down loop, or your car will be unbalanced.

Also the the two in front.
