Removing the emissions and remove the entire rats nest is two different things. The rats mounts solenoids for BOTH the emissions controls as well as the turbo control system.

You can remove a signifigant amount of solenoids and vacuum lines by removing the emissions parts in conjunction with block off plates.

Also, there is quite a bit involved to removing the emissions, not just yanking stuff and blocking things off. To properly do it, you need to remove all the cats and the air pump, and running no cats on the stock ECU is a VERY bad idea.

As long as you aren't creeping or spiking, you are fine.

If you remove any solenoids with the stock ecu, you will have to run resistors in place of them to prevent the stock ecu from having a code-fest.
