Ran a 12.7 at the track with fucked up mods...lol

i ran at E town race track with broken Diff mounts 3 spark plugs, and shot suspension, and messed up on third gear, but still ran 12.7 at 106.84 MPH, mods were

pettit ECU
Dp
MP
CB
PFS intercooler
MT ET Street
RPS clutch
Custom Intake
Walbro Fuel Pump

car was running too rich but i was to lazy to find the prob, so the car finally got stuck on me in Manhatten then i decided to realy do work now till i found out that my plug wires was never on...lol. so the motor got flooded

good time but take a little better care of the car

there are people out there that do everything they can to prevent motor damage and still blow them so I believe you got lucky.

We know trailing spark plugs aren't that important

You must have been running high boost and had a good 60 time. Don't make it sound like you have a 10 second car there pal. I have the same mods and low 12s would be a very good time for this setup and high 11's would happen if everything was perfect.

Why would you take a car in that condition to a drag strip?

Bummer you race a car with problems. No wonder people think FDs are unreliable.

So do you have this run on video because I find it very hard to believe, sorry. The plug wire maybe came loose after the race because running a 12.7 with those mods would be a good time without all the "problems" you are claiming it had. Maybe I am wrong though.

yes i do have it on video, but i very much doubt that it came of after the run because

1) the out put on the coil blaster looks like some what corroted like any metal looks like from not cleaning it mean while the other ones are perfectly clean....and

2) sorry buddy with these mods its possible to run 12.0 all day cuz it has been done B4 by someone in this forum too back in 98

3) i know it didnt happen after the run because i have a stronge feeling it was the reason for my 2 sets of four spark plugs to go foul in less then 200 miles that happened B4 that day

I know its possible to run low 12's with those mods, especially with the slicks on the car, look at my mods, its not that I am doubting a low 12 with those mods. I just question the plug wire being off, shouldnt that have made like a HUGE difference?? Guess not. Maybe I will pull one of my leading plug wires off someday and see how it runs to solve my curiosity, good run though.

Translation:

That would be me quoting Snook saying to take good care of a car he constantly breaks himself. See quote.

Next reference = he says he has the ***** wagon in his avatar. I will concede he has that in our area for 2 more weeks after which he can hang on for my sloppy seconds ;*)

Had it been a leading plug, then yes, huge affect on performance, but a trailing plug missing would be hard to notice, especially with all those mods.
