Question

That's a very good ET for that low of a trap speed, even with the ET Streets. What was your 60 foot?

Thats the thing though, he said it was a leading plug, not a trailing, hence my doubt.

forget the time slip vosko got the vid only if he will post it tho, i dunno how to do it. and yes it was a leading plug, thats why my car flooded on me in Manhatten one day... What is there no congradulations for a good run, or is this forum full of haters.

o and reaction time was .700 and 60 foot was 1.893

slicks make a big difference, i believe i've been told 1 tenth off the 60 ft is usually good for 2 tenths off your ET. Cars like his that cut 2.1 60 foots on street tires can run low 13's with ease, so dropping down to 12.7 with ET streets is more than possible

Must be the miracle tires, I need to get me a set, lol. Just kidding man, I personally wouldnt believe it unless I saw it in person and even then I dont think the plug wire was off during the run but thats just me, pay no attention to my opinion because it doesnt matter anyways.

With a similar setup I was consistently trapping 114-115 when running 1 bar. I am good friends with an amazing tuner. PM me if you want to know more .

it could be tuning.... ever had compression checked, you sure turbos are working 100% ?

you should be trapping around 115.... 115 is enough for 11's

@ 15 psi on my T78 i ran 12.0 @ 118..... need to get my clutch problem fixed. i want an 11 second slip!

had compressions checked at kdr in feb...he said they were 9's or something like that.. maybe 8's but he said the motor is fine. it's a reman with like 10k on it. my old turbos were leaking oil so i replace them with another set of twins....i was trapping 109ish before with 2.3 60' with my old turbos....i figure the turbos that i got are ****...should have just went single...how hard is it to put a single in yourself????i swapped the twins w/0 much problem. maybe i will send my old turbos to bnr for a stage 3... i have 1300 in the secondaries . is that enuf for the stage 3's or do i need 850 in the primaries also to run 17 psi.... my biggest problem is tuning...have to get someone to do it right. oh well.....

Thank you much, but its also kinda tru that i shouldnt of ran the car like that with those problems. but o well i was anxious, it was my first time at the track, i wanted to tackle all these Honda people that live around me that i coulda hit a 12 sec run easy, watch when u see the vid what they say in the back ground...lol and just imagine if that other plug was connected and at full contact with also better suspension and stable diff mounts i woulda madethem lick my *****.......LOLOLOOL

coughghghghechchchcBULL kehalchchchchSHIT. I'm sorry man - but first time at the track...a car that has major (and I think your description defines major) issues and you run that time? I'd have to see that to believe it. First run under 13? If it is true - keep driving because you must be truly talented - I am not worthy.

First of all, congrats on the run. A 12 second timeslip is something to be proud of .

Secondly, here is a story for you. About 10 months ago I was at the track and when I launched (come to find out later) the wiring for my leading race coil came loose, effectively making me run on just my 2 trailing plugs. The car felt horrible, and didn't want to accelerate. I basically rolled it thru the traps in neutral. With one leading plug not firing, I'm not sure how I would've done, but if you did indeed run a 12.7 on three spark plugs then you definitely have a strong running 7. Next time you go unplug one of your leading wires and see if you can duplicate it

take it easy--

Congrats T88rx7

That ET is very good for your trapspeed.....possibly ran very good from 1st to 3rd gear and slowed a bit in 4th ...hence the lower trapspeed.
If the spark plug wire was still hanging on the plug but loose it would still fire it.....if it was completely hanging away from plug misfiring would have been noticed.

Just need to fix all the little problems and head back to the track and better those #'s.

ET streets also lower your trapspeed vs reg tires (225/50-16)....much bigger diameter 26"+ which makes cross the 1/4 at lower rpm in 4th gear.
I run about the same trap speed now w/ ET streets as before with Nittos and yet I trap higher in the 1/8th ...98.5mph.

Corrections.....
I ran a best of 11.56 and 11.59 @ 122.12mph on stock motor and turbos(non-seq) on Nittos drags.
I now run a ported motor and exact same bolts-ons with a bit more boost and menaged 11.1 @ 123mph on ET streets.
I should see higher trapspeeds with Nittos.....I will try them soon.
I do thank RX794 for borrowing his dataloggit.....still waiting for one on order
I've been doing the tunning all on my own.......alot of highway pulls late at night !!!!!!!

Maybe I'll dyno the car to see the difference of ported vs non-ported motor.

The single is still on the shelf waiting for the twins to run 10.999999999
