Rain water leaking into Cabin~ Please Help

Hi all,

I've searched and cross referenced my problem with the following threads:

https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...enger+footwell

https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...enger+footwell

https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...enger+footwell

I have blocked off the heater core because we do not need it in our region.
I have stripped off complete interior except the dashboard and have found water pooling in the driver/passenger foot well.
As of now i have replaced the windshield rubber, checked sunroof drains. Even after doing the above i get water pooling in the said areas.

Car drives perfectly with no issues. problem only persists when it rains. I've looked everywhere but no luck. I'm replacing the rubber insulators on the engine harness to see if that helps. Am i missing something? Please chime in with ideas.

dave

Thanks for the feedbback. I've checked doorsills and they're holding up well. I've also got a new set which i shall swap in next week.

UPDATE: I got a mate to hose the car with water and i found water coming in thru the top of the dashboard on both sides. Only happens when we hose the windshield. somehow water is travelling down the firewall and finding its way thru.

Keep looking around the firewall and the windshield seal. It's coming in from somewhere. Maybe even the cowl.

thanks. i've removed the cowl and will be inspecting this over the weekend with a mirror and torchlight.

another way to maybe get to the bottom of this is to get a powerfull light lit in the engine bay close to the firewall and start digging around behind the dashboard. Hope i find it and can finally lay the new carpet i got off group buy.
