Racing Beat Dual Tip

I just got my RB Dual Tip on

wow....car sounds mean with the greddy exhaust, don't get me wrong, but I've been taking some girls out lately, and it was just not working out

the racing beat is phenomenal, it comes alive after 6k

i'm installing the rx7store midpipe tonight, will try to get vids

I'll be curious to hear about your driving impressions with the rb vs your old greddy.

Are you installing the mp or res mp? If it's the res mp, good luck with the install. Two different friends had to beat the hell out of the canister to get it to clear the drivershaft/ppf.

resonated midpipe- i was able to get it to fit perfectly by using snug exhaust hangers and sliding the pipe into place properly

so far so good, it's SUPER quiet, and the butt dyno can feel a bit of a change, but it's not enough to make me regret it...i can start to hear things again, like the beep before redline, or the aquamist pump behind my seat....

so i'm stoked, i got some pics to upload in a min, and i want to get video footage soon

depends on how much $$ you want to spend, i think zerobanger's kit is 50% cheaper

Funny, I have the RB Dual, DP, and hi-flow cat. I would never describe it as SUPER quiet or even regular quiet. That Greddy must be awfully loud.

Yes, the Greddy PE is a very loud exhaust, but he actually had the SP before the RB duals.

Hey 93blackFD, get the videos posted up as soon as you can. And if you have any videos with the Greddy SP, could you post those up too or show me where to get them.

Thats odd, i could have sworn you had the SP when you posted that video of you shooting flames on the highway. Oh well, either way, your car sounded awesome.

Oh yeah, if you still have that video somewhere, the flames on the highway, could you post it up.

well, they look alike, and i don't put a lot of thought into it when i describe my cat-back, easy mistake to make

i have the power exrtreme, which i believe they no longer make, the sound performance is the new one, and is CARB legal, and is quieter

it's for sale now....of course although i'm tempted to keep it as a track exhaust

I didn't think CARB had to approve cat-back exhausts.

Well honestly I don't know for sure but I thought anything cat-back was complete open except noise limits.

Its loud as ****. It was louder before. I cant even imagine open DP. And your 11pm idles at 2k rpm in the apt complex are sweet.

I pushed my car out of the complex at night when running open DP for consideration of my neighbors.

I bet they still heard it over a mile away. ****, I used to hear you coming before I even saw your car. And that was just with the exhaust leak.

I love being LOUD .... but I will never run a wastegate vented to atmosphere after driving a friends FD with a HKS 40mm vented. That hurt my ears ....

I'm running completely stock exhaust right now. I'm actually pleased with the way it sounds.

IMO, it's that low "drone" at highway speeds of my SP. It just wears on me after a while. Around town I don't notice as much.
