okay i got a question i am fixin to purchase a 1994 mazda rx-7 and they told me it was a r2.. how do you really know if it is? the engine is 1.3L ROTARY TURBO FI according to the carfax... i wanna know if its twin/single turbo or if its an R2 or not.. im sorry i dont know much about these

 

if its a 94, its an R2. Has p/s airbag and other little things.

Search for it, subject has been covered.

 

check if there is an oil cooler on the passenger side

 

If it is a real r2 it has dual oil coolers one each side of the car

 

make sure it doesnt have a sun roof. They are all twin turbo. it shouldnt have power steering. it should have a red front strut tower bar. it should have a rear wing and a larger front lip.
